Ford VINs (chassis numbers) show a multitude of information. The VIN is on a stamp which can be under the bonnet or in a door shut; in newer cars, the VIN is visible at the base of the windscreen. Note that the month code is on a four year cycle, using the 16-character sequence JUMPBRAGCKDELYST.
