Here are a list of the parts used to retro-fit a Sony DAB radion into a 2007 Focus TDCI:

1468937 Panel Assy - Radio/Heater Control Surround in Silver 1 £25.36 £4.44 £29.80

1559265 Rod Assy - Aerial mast 1 £9.80 £1.72 £11.52
1559268 Aerial Base 1 £10.37 £1.81 £12.18

Remove the original unit

You will need the removal keys (available from many internet sources)
Note - Flat edge of tool pointing to outside of unit
Once the radio is out; you will need to remove the surround which is held in with two Torx screws and clipped to the heater controls and clipped on each side under the heater controls

Replace Roof Aerial

Carefully remove the cover from the interior light and thenbend back the metal release clip to allow it to drop down. It is worth removing the Sunvisor(driver side) and the Sunglasses holder to allow the roof lining to drop for ease of access when changing the cable

Above the interior light you will find the fixing for the aerial

Remove the Torx screw from the centre of the cable and remove the aerial from the roof

Remove the plastic "A" pillar trim to expose the aerial cable. Using a wire coat hanger, feed the cable through to the O/S A pillar and follow it down reusing the original clips to the join.

I left the original cable in place so I can remove the DAB when we sell the car

Prise the trim away from the "A" pillar to expose the cable.

Fit the new aerial base and mast (8mm socket required).

Remove the Clocks

Remove the top part of the steering column cownling by pulling up from directly behind the steering wheel then pull it towards you. The part that is directly by the clocks needs to be pulled back towards the driver to release it and expose the retaining screws.

Cowling raised up

Remove the two screws holding the clocks in place. VERY carefully prise the top of the clocks down and towards you. They are held in by two screws at the bottom and three large "wedges" at the top.

Note the wedges
