The following description are the symptoms and was diagnosed a Coil Pack Fault:

I noticed whilst Driving, I noticed the Speedometer, mileometer and trip meter was not working, but the Rev counter and the LCD readout below it was.

I did check the fuses to no avail. After driving another half hour or so, I noticed that when I needed to overtake the Car had some sort of hesitation, this happened frequently when I put my foot downt to overtake. I also noticed that the Radio sometimes crackled.

After a short while the car shuddered and lost acceleration (but did not cut out), the speedometer started to work, the Rev counter didn't and the Radio started to work OK. I had to pull over as I was on the M1, but as soon as my speed got to around 45mph the car shuddered and set off again. As stated before all the instruments swapped around again and went back to the way they were working/not working before.

This happend numerous times during which the Engine Management light came on. Apparently the Car had gone into "Limp home" mode which allows you to drive that Car without Damaging the Engine.

I also had my Car fuses checked by an RAC man, he found no problems.

So a trip to Fords where they put my Car on the Diagnostic Machine (£70ish) and as above, it was Diagnosed a Coil Pack Fault.(cost me £136 total)

NOTE: Whilst in "Limp Home" mode that Car is VERY dificult to drive. You Have to "Nurse" it, especially when setting of at junctions.
