Fitting RSAP Bumbers On a Mk2 Rear Bumper To remove, there are the two torx headed bolts in the shut line of the hatch, then one 10mm bolt each side, got at from within the boot (will have to remove trim panels), next there is a short screw that has to be got at at the very top-tip of the bumper at the wheel arch ( I took the back screws of the wheel arch liners out and pulled them out of the way and managed it without taking them off completely) The last bit depends on the year of the car, mine had 2 brackets on the bottom lip of the bumper, connecting to the fuel tank/body. The earlier ones did not have this and suffered from breaking.

The ST200? bumper I had only has a hole for one of those brackets and you will have to make something up as the original is too short. I used a bolt and a piece of tube to extend.

I reckon we could of done it in an hour start to finish, but it took us half a day by the time we cut and finished the exhaust holes and trial fitted it several times.

So, to review, the bumper is just a plastic skin, with the mesh panel, with two holes in the top-middle, two pieces of threaded bar sticking up that go into the boot, and two plastic circles that a screw goes into at the front tip of the wheel arch bit and the hole in the bottom for the bracket to the body.

One other tip, you will need to cut off some of the foam where the oval cut-out (meshed) part fits as it is bigger than the standard one and fouls, should be obvious where.....

Front Bumper Take the front grill out Remove the three plastic plugs under the grill Jack up front of car and remove front wheels Take the majority of inner wheel arch retaining bolts out and fold the front back out of the way (I didn't take it out completely) Remove the engine under-tray Disconnect the fog light wiring Remove the two 10mm bolts fixing the bumper to the wing on each side (bit awkward to get to but not too bad) Remove the bumper, note you need to push the sides down first as there is a pin that locates them Have a beer Similarly to the back, you need to trim the hard foam across the front of the car, I needed to take off about 1.5 cm from the bottom, all the way across, note there are some metal brackets inside it so don't get too carried away..... Fit the new bumper.... bolts, plugs etc, line up and tighten Refit everything else, note that the inner wheel arches will not reach the bottom hole on the bumper so I drilled a hole to fit the last screw, similarly the under-tray is not quite big enough, so I used some cable ties to hold the front of it to the bumper.
