1.7 - Right through Production (autumn 1997 - end of 2001) (there were some P registration press/demo cars)

1997 - Max speed 126 mph, 0-60 mph 8.8 secs, 30-50 mph 6.3 secs

2000+ - Max speed 126 mph, 0-62 mph 9.2 secs, 31-62 mph 9.7 secs

Torque limiter info, also from archives Pumas built before Aug 98, had the TL set at 1500 rpm. After that it was upped to 2500 rpm, then 2800rpm from Mar 2000. Achieved by ignition retardation.

FRP - Max speed 126 mph, 0-60 mph 7.9 secs

1.4 – 1998 - part way through 2000 (no VCT)

Max speed 112 mph, 0-60 mph 10.8 secs, 30-50 mph 8.6 secs

1.6 – 2000 onwards replacing the 1.4 (no VCT)

Max speed 118 mph, 0-62 mph 10.4 secs, 31-62 mph 11.7 secs
